Here are some of the reasons why the Hot Pod could benefit you.

Faster recovery

Infrared sauna technology is popular amongst elite athletes because of its benefits for improved recovery. A 2015 study found that FAR infrared heat helps the neuromuscular system to recover from endurance training. So your muscles will be less sore after an intense training session, meaning better recovery, improved sleep, and a better mood

Fast calorie burning

Infrared sauna blankets increase and improve blood flow and circulation around the body, resulting in an increased metabolic rate. It is this increase which enables your body to burn more calories during a sauna session.

Detoxification

Sauna use has been shown to help rid the body of harmful chemicals, waste products, pesticides, and metals. Also, sweating has long been shown to promote health and saunas, including infrared ones, can be as beneficial as more traditional ‘sweating’ methods, like exercise.

Reduce stress

Sauna use has been linked with an improvement in mental health and wellbeing, and helps to make you feel more relaxed. A recent study involving 2138 men aged between 42 and 61, found that frequent sauna bathing was associated with a lower risk of psychosis. It found that men who used a sauna between four and seven times per week had a 78% lower risk of developing mental health issues compared to men who who used a sauna once per week. That’s not all. Other studies have shown that whole body hyperthermia, or increasing the body’s core temperature, as well as thermal therapy like using a sauna for 15-minutes per day, can have an antidepressant effect. This is because it increases the secretion of naturally occurring mood boosting hormones and chemicals, such as dopamine and serotonin.

Improved sleep

The penetration of infrared heat through your skin may help you to feel more relaxed by stimulating your body to release natural relaxants. Some claims suggest that infrared heat releases melatonin, an essential hormone for the sleep/wake cycle.

It’s never been easier to recreate the infrared sauna experience at home. No fuss, no faff and no bulky, specialist equipment. Here’s how you can quickly get set up and zipped in.

Lay out the Hot Pod

Remove The Hot Pod from its carry bag and roll out onto a comfortable surface like your bed, floor, or sofa. Connect the controller to The Hot Pod and plug into a power source.

Set the temperature

Use the handheld controller to adjust the temperature and set the time.

Zip in

The Hot Pod conveniently uses a zip system which means you can easily get in and out of the blanket.

Relax and enjoy the heat

We recommend spending 30 to 60 minutes relaxing inside the Hot Pod to allow the FAR infrared to penetrate your skin and provide its benefits.

Clean and embrace the feeling

When you’re done, clean down the inside of The Hot Pod with a cloth, ready for the next use.

The Hot Pod uses far infrared heat, an efficient and effective way to heat a person, object, or space.

Not much at all other than The Hot Pod provides the same infrared technology and promotes health in a convenient and portable blanket.

Keeping The Hot Pod clean is simple thanks to the fact that it is fully waterproof, so you can quickly and easily wipe away any sweat residues.

You can make up your own antibacterial spray to wipe down The Hot Pod with by adding a few drops of tea tree oil to a spray bottle filled with water or you can use some natural cleaning wipes. Just wipe down the inside of the blanket with a soft cloth or wipe and allow it to dry before packing away in the carry bag.

The Hot Pod is made entirely of safe and non-toxic materials. It is completely waterproof inside and has a polyurethane leather exterior.

Absolutely! The total length of The Hot Pod is 180cm and the tallest recommended user is 196cm or 6ft 5in.

Although there are very little adverse effects associated with an infrared sauna, we would always recommend consulting your doctor before trying anything new.
